After being decimated by The Gods, The Giants and The Titans joined forces against The Gods. The threat hadn't been taken seriously, The Gods believed that if they'd beat them once then a second time wouldn't be that difficult. What they didn't know is that The Giants had increased in number and The Titans had become stronger. The Gods were taken aback in surprise by the damage that was caused. The Gods soon called in the Half-Bloods to aid in the fight.
But the new recruits were inevitably useless, The Titans had found a way to curse The Gods by linking the Half-Bloods to their God-Parent. This caused the Half-Bloods of certain Gods to become weaker while their God-Parent was attacked, others however became stronger.
Then another disaster hit in the form of an earthquake centered at Camp Jupiter. The quake destroyed most of the temples and the majority of New Rome. The quake was caused by some of The Giants and Titans who had managed to find a way to absorb the powers of weakened Gods.
As some Gods got stronger while others got weaker, tension rose between them. Friction soon became rivalries and then birthed hatred. These emotions were affected in the Half-Bloods, the tension soon made it's way to Camp Half-Blood. The chances of The Gods winning the Unwinnable War are slim and growing slimmer by the day.
