Archery

Amber pulled out her bow and took aim. Her wrist seemed to be bothering her, but she ignored it. Archery was her favorite thing to do, even though her dad wasn't Apollo. Well, maybe not her favorite thing, hair styling was the best. And manicures. And...paints. Well, whatever it was, it was ONE of her favorite things to do. She pulled back the string and her wrist screamed in pain. She dropped the bow and flicked her wrist. She tested it and pressed different pressure points on it. Nothing. She decided to pick up her bow again and ignore the pain, but it came back.

Pamala was taking a stroll when she saw Amber. She saw Amber drop her bow. Amber looked like she was in some pain. "Are you okay, Amber?" she called.

"Well...not really. Just my wrist seems strange today. Maybe strained? I don't know much about medicine, haha. Not that it matters, the pain will go away." amber took up her bow and slightly winced, and shot an arrow. The arrow missed by a few degrees and landed 5 inches to the left of the bullseye.

"Are you sure?" Pamala asked, "It wouldn't be hard to get a healer over her. I know some healing myself actualy." Pamala wouldn't want to have to go on being hurt. She felt the need to help someone else in pain.

"Well, yeah. That would be nice." Amber shifted and winced, trying to shoot another arrow. As soon as she pulled back the bowstring, she knew something was wrong. Her arrow pierced the blue outer ring of the target. She sat down in frustration and began pressing the different pressure points again.

"What are you doing?" Pamala asked. It really Looked to her that Amber was trying to hurt herself in some way. Or maybe she was crazy. Or Amber could be crazy. She shrugged the thoughts off and headed over to Amber.

"Oh trying to see where the source of the problem is, that's all. Don't worry", Amber grinned. "I think I found it...right here." Amber pointed to the spot under the bone of her thumb. "I think I remember spraining it. Maybe when I was trying to get my necklace and I fell..."

[rain]

"You fell? You probably should have seen an actual healer if you felt like you sprained something," Pamala said. She was pretty worried about Amber now. She could have really hurt herself and that would be bad for her because she was starting to like the crazy Aphrodite daughter.

"Oh, no. Don't worry. This kind of thing happened all the time when I was little. i would be worried if I broke a bone or something, but not a sprain. They heal pretty fast. I honestly don't like healers. I don't even know why. I just feel like I can handle it myself." Amber grinned confidently.

[rain]

"That is a little odd. I personally like getting healed because then I hurt no more. Now I feel like I'm talking in the third person. Is that weird? Wait don't answer that. Pamala's just feeling extra ADHD at the moment. Wait, did I just talk in the third person? I'm just gonna stop talking now," Pamala said.

"Ahaha. Weird. Anyways, I think I'm gonna go paint something. My wrist should feel better soon". Amber glanced down at her hand and realized that the bow had chipped her nail polish. She cursed in frustration and swore never to wear that color again. She stalked out of the range.

"Um bye Amber. See you later I guess," Pamala said. Aphrodite children acted weird at random times sometimes. It always weirded her out. Pamala ran out to go do something else.
